Wordhippo is a thesaurus and word tool for people like me who are always searching for creative vs. common words to use when writing copy for social media, blogs, articles, press releases, or term papers. Expert Virtual Assistants use Wordhippo to not only find synonyms for commonly used words, but it’s a great tool for finding antonyms, definitions, rhymes, translations, and much more. In addition, it’s a free tool and doesn’t require a login to use. Where was this when I was in college? 😊 https://www.wordhippo.com/
Grammarly is a free Artificial Intelligence (AI) writing assistant that provide grammar, spell and plagiarism checkers for mistake-free writing. Grammarly can be added to your Chrome browser and it’s always available while you’re online. This writing tool works wherever you are online, writing emails, documents, and social media copy and content. I especially like this tool because it makes suggestions boldly and clearly, just click on the recommended change to update your writing. It’s an Expert Virtual Assistant’s dream writing tool. https://www.grammarly.com/

Teamwork is a tool that makes working with teams more efficient and organized. It’s a great project management tool to use among team members and the task board layouts are designed for any kind of user. I found it to be user-friendly and the company provides updates and improvements constantly. Teamwork also has a great time-tracking feature. I’ve used this as an Expert Virtual Assistant as a team member for my clients. The best part is, Teamwork has a free version for 5 team members or less. The upgraded pricing tiers are reasonable as well. www.teamwork.com
Slack is another great team management tool. Integrate your projects directly from your slack account. Just install the app, create your account, set up your team members via email address. Use the Channels for the various departments and announcements you need everyone to know. This has great private messaging with a file management feature. Upload your document, spreadsheet, photo, .mp3 and .mp4 files your team needs to complete tasks and projects. Slack also has a free version for very small teams. www.slack.com
Asana is a team management tool, web and mobile application designed to help teams organize, track, share files, and manage their work. I am an extremely visual person so I especially like how easy it is to add file straight from your computer’s tray and file storage right into the cards you create in Asana. www.asana.com
Canva is a graphic design platform, web and mobile application, used to create basically all of your business’s graphic design needs, from social media graphics, business cards, and postcards to posters and slideshow presentations. There is also a social media content scheduler built in. Canva is free to use but also has paid subscriptions for your more robust graphic designing needs. www.canva.com
Acuity Scheduling is an online appointment scheduler. It’s the easiest, most convenient and least expensive way I’ve found to keep an accurate calendar for client appointments. I especially like it because it integrates with my google calendar. Appointment links are created so you can send them to persons to schedule an appointment that is convenient for them. Another wonderful feature is its ability to automatically send appointment reminders via text or email. The setup is simple and easy to get started. They also offer a free version. www.acuityscheduling.com
Calendly is a FREE online appointment scheduling software. It is super easy to use and can connect up to six of your calendars and automatically check your availability to help you maintain your schedule with precision. www.calendly.com

Expert Virtual Assistant Training
My first client gave me a link to Kathy Goughenour ’s 5-day challenge. She was given the link from someone who took the challenge and now has a successful Virtual Assistant (VA) business. After the first day, I was excited to do the homework to see if I had what it took to own my very own Virtual Assistant business. Turns out, I DO! Kathy is committed to helping VAs become the business owners they’ve always dreamt of being. She believes in you until you believe in yourself. I’ve never met anyone more passionate about helping women (and men) thrive and have the freedom they choose. Did I mention, she has an amazing Facebook group filled with amazing and talented women just like her. Click here to schedule a time to discuss Kathy’s training program.
The 5 Day Website Challenge is hands-down the best WordPress training I’ve found online! If you’re feeling frustrated or overwhelmed with trying to build your own website, definitely check out Shannon Mattern’s 5 Day Website Challenge. It comes with step-by-step videos and a Facebook group for support. It really helped me, and you can get access for FREE. Here you go, use my affiliate link E-z – P-z.
